Prometheus Council Tenets

Tenet 1: There exists substantial empirical and circumstantial evidence to establish that many advanced civilizations existed and flourished back to at least circa 15000 BC.

Tenet 2: All of the ancient civilizations were annihilated by cataclysmic events which caused 90-95% of all life on this planet to be extinct.

Tenet 3: This annihilation was so extensive that memory of these civilizations exists in our deep seated religious beliefs, legends, myths, and as yet unexplainable structures that defy our ability to duplicate their construction.

Tenet 4: Many structures from antiquity reveal beyond doubt the existence of technology and knowledge that surpasses our own in every aspect.

Tenet 5: These structures true and original purpose was not as temples or burial chambers, but knowledge libraries. Their methods of storing information included their geometric mathematical relational proportions, their world wide geographic positioning, and carvings, pictures and other allegorical art produced by the original builders.

Tenet 6: Cultures and ethnic groups that claim these ancient structures are only doing so as secondary occupants. These cultures and ethnicities do not have the skill level, technological base or the knowledge base to plan, build and use these structures to their intended purpose.

Tenet 7: Conventional wisdom has been wrong in the past, it can be wrong now, and it will be wrong in the future. We are not here to debate academia regarding the plausibility or lack thereof of our Tenets. Our purpose is to educate those who wish to have the knowledge, in furtherance of our Mission Statement.

Definitions regarding the Mission Statement:

Collect-amass pertinent information in written and oral form
Use-utilize said collected information to gain more knowledge and physically prepare for a catastrophe.
Distribute-make information collected available to others in as many formats as possible.
Information-any knowledge, whether written or oral, deemed relevant to our purpose.
Mitigate-lessen the survivability impact on humanity of an ELE
Loss of knowledge-the loss of the collective knowledge of human society from the current time.
Enhance rebuilding-lessen the amount of time and increase the grade of learning curve needed for catastrophe survivors to survive, repopulate, and begin rebuilding a society similar to the pre-ELE society.
Catastrophic events/Disasters/Extinction Level Events (ELE's)-A global event, either of terrestrial, extraterrestrial, or man made origin, of proportions that affects a large percentage of the population of the earth, causing a death rate substantial enough during the initial catastrophe that the continued existence of homo sapiens is in actual jeopardy.
